At the age of 61, Andre Braugher, the star of Homicide: Life on the Street, Men of a Certain Age, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Glory, passed away. The American actor passed away, and according to his representatives, it was following a brief illness. Throughout his career, Braugher played both tragic and humorous parts as police officers.

He was raised Andre Braugher in Chicago and attended Stanford University before enrolling in the theatre programme at The Juilliard School. Additionally noteworthy was Braugher’s portrayal of Captain Raymond Holt in the 2013–21 Fox-NBC series Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He received more recognition for his appearances in the television shows Men of a Certain Age and Kojak. He had been chosen to play the male lead in a murder mystery supported by Netflix that took place at the White House, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

During the Hollywood writers’ and actors’ strike, Shonda Rhimes’ drama The Residence was placed on pause. His three boys and his spouse, the actress Ami Brabson, whom he met on the set of Homicide, survive him.
