Cars, our early look at the most exciting vehicles, trucks, and SUVs coming out in the next years. Some things simply cannot be hastened, even in the era of next-day delivery, self-checkout, and gigabit internet. The vehicles you see here won’t arrive on dealer lots for several months to several years. Some of them are getting ready to roll off the production line. Others have not yet come out of the design studio. But despite how many uninteresting crossovers the car industry spits out, these are the vehicles that will matter, so we’re telling you about them now. The wait will be worthwhile.
Cars as follows
2024 Aston Martin Vanquish
The next Vanquish from Aston Martin will be a mid-engine supercar that will compete against the Ferrari F8 Tributo, the Huracán successor from Lamborghini, and the McLaren 720S and 765LT. The Vanquish, which will debut in 2023, will be previewed by a concept car at the 2019 Geneva motor show (shown).
2024 BMW i8 M
The plug-in hybrid i8 halo vehicle, which by itself never truly lived up to expectations, is being followed up on by BMW. This yet-to-be-named replacement (we’ve resorted to calling it the i8 M) should lay more of a focus on performance than its predecessor did, as hinted at by the 2019 BMW Vision M Next concept vehicle. With its old M1-inspired design, it might potentially ignite the Bimmer world; it might even have rear louvres, people!
2024 Cadillac Celestiq
Starting with the Lyriq SUV in 2023, Cadillac’s new EV lineup will continue with the Celestiq premium sedan, which is scheduled to debut in 2025. We know it will have an all-wheel-drive electric motor and claim a driving range of more than 300 miles according to its eye-catching design, which was unveiled in 2022. It will probably cost approximately $300,000 and have the elegance and technology to match cars.
2025 Chevy Corvette SUV
The Corvette subbrand is growing and will soon—gasp!—include a performance SUV with the Corvette emblem. It is anticipated to use GM’s Alpha platform and have a similar appearance. A turbocharged four-cylinder on the low end should be available, while the highest Z0-something performance model should have a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 as an option. Chevy is anticipated to unveil this contentious car later this year.
2025 Chevy Corvette ZR-1 and Zora
The impending ZR-1 and Zora are the most intriguing of the performance variations that the mid-engine Corvette C8 chassis was originally intended to produce. The top-dog Zora hybrid (seen above) might provide an even greater punch thanks to its electric motors coupled to the turbo V-8’s output, while the ZR-1 is rumoured to sport an 800-hp, twin-turbo version of the Z06’s 5.5-liter V-8. The maximum power of this all-wheel-drive monster might reach 1000.
2024 Dodge Charger EV
Dodge’s impending electric muscle vehicle, which was hinted at by a concept car last year, is taking shape with an intriguing fusion of vintage style, cutting-edge technology, and plain ol’ swagger. The base 340 model will have 455 horsepower, the mid-level 440 model 590 horsepower, while the top Banshee model promises to outperform the gas-powered Hellcat in every conceivable performance parameter.
2024 Ferrari Purosangue
Finally making the move to construct an SUV is Ferrari. This new endeavour is definitely a departure for a company that established its reputation on racing (cars, specifically). This Ferrari is a Ferrari through and through, as indicated by its Purosangue designation, which is Italian for “thoroughbred,” and by its naturally aspirated V-12 engine. The Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus, and Rolls-Royce Cullinan are just a few of the cars the Ferrari will compete against.
2026 Ford Mustang Raptor
While Lamborghini transformed the Huracan into the elevated supercar known as the Sterrato, Porsche built an off-road Dakar version of the 911. Why then can’t Ford give the Mustang the same off-road treatment as the Raptor? We have heard that it would include an all-wheel drive system, a naturally aspirated V-8 engine, and a raised suspension with Fox Live Valve dampers. It was anticipated that this odd, limited-edition take on the Mustang will debut in 2026 with a starting price of about $90,000.
2024 Genesis GV90
Genesis does have a flagship sedan, but these days, no self-respecting luxury brand can survive without a top-tier crossover. A huge three-row electric SUV cars with all the presence and dimensions you would expect from a range-topping vehicle is the forthcoming GV90. When it debuts with a six-figure price early next year, anticipate it to have standard all-wheel drive, a range of roughly 250 miles, and a similarly opulent interior as the G90 sedan. Specifications are yet unknown.
2022–2024 GMC Hummer EV
In a bizarre turn of events, the gas-guzzling, middle-finger-flying Hummer brand, which General Motors dropped in 2010, has returned as an all-electric sub-brand of GMC. The GMC Hummer EV SUT pickup truck has up to 1000 horsepower and can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in only 3.0 seconds, according to GMC. Customers received the first cars in equipped First Edition form in late 2021. Less priced variants and an SUV version are expected to follow.
