Eliminated, the second episode of season 32 of Dancing With the Stars is discussed in this article.
The 32nd season of Dancing With the Stars is heating up, and this week’s elimination left judge Derek Hough speechless. On October 3, Latin Night, cohosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough both wore red. At the start of the programme, Julianne, 35, teased that Latin night would be “hot, hot, hot.”
While some couples flourished on the theme night—judge Carrie Anna Inaba said that social media star Lele Pons “set this place on fire” and “burned it all down”—others found it difficult. Mauricio Umansky and partner Emma Slater received the lowest rating of the evening after all the performances. The second-lowest Latin Night score was shared by Harry Jowsey and Rylee Arnold, Barry Williams and Peta Murgatroyd, Adrian Peterson and Britt Stewart, and Barry Williams and Peta Murgatroyd.
Peterson, 38, Stewart, 34, Jamie Lynn Spears, and Alan Bersten were in the bottom two when the fan votes were totaled. Spears, 32, and Bersten, 29, were out of the running in the end. Spears acknowledged that the event had “a lot of great parts” once the results were revealed, noting in particular “Doing something I never thought I would do in my whole entire life.”
Derek, 38, said that he didn’t anticipate the elimination when Ribeiro, 52, asked him about it. It’s rather startling, to be honest. Jamie Lynn, you actually were amazing. He responded, “You need to be really proud of what you accomplished here. Wow, that’s shocking, to be honest. We’re going to miss you, Jamie. While this was going on, other competitors found themselves ascending the scoreboard from the centre of the pack. Xochitl Gomez, an actress, and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy received a 24 after getting an 18 in the pilot episode.
According to Inaba, 55, “Salsa is your superpower, my friend,” Gomez, 17, was informed. Rita Moreno appeared briefly in it. Derek agreed with the statement. “Your spins are really fantastic. That was extraordinary,” he declared. Charity Lawson received acclaim from the judges as well for presenting her best performance despite not having partner Artem Chigvintsev at her side. Instead, the 27-year-old ex-Bachelorette performed the Cha-Cha with stand-in partner Ezra Sosa. Prior to the programme airing on Tuesday, the lineup adjustment was disclosed on the Dancing With the Stars official Instagram page.
“Due to COVID, Artem won’t be dancing tonight. A picture of Charity, 27, and Ezra, 22, was captioned, “Wishing him a quick recovery! ” Ribeiro announced at the start of Latin Night that Charity had tested COVID-19-negative and was “ready for tonight’s show.” Sosa made his professional debut on this particular episode. For season 30 of the ABC competition series in 2021, he joined as a troupe dancer. On Tuesday, Chigvintsev, 41, expressed his support for his interim successor on Instagram.
He posted a video of himself explaining his absence from the show, “Ezra stepped in like a champ and [he and Charity] have been working really hard this last couple of days so please give them all the love and support you can.”
