Matthew Perry Passed away at the age of 54
Actor Matthew Perry passed away on Saturday at the age of 54. “Saturday Night Live” co-star Morgan Fairchild, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and others are honouring him. A image of Perry was shown on SNL in remembrance of the late comic, Nate Bargatze, who signed out live from the stage. In October 1997, Perry served as “SNL” host.
Fairchild, 73, sent an homage on X, then known as Twitter, to Perry’s popular ‘Friends’ character Chandler Bing. Fairchild portrayed the TV mum to Perry’s character on the hit NBC sitcom. “I’m devastated by my’son’ Matthew Perry’s’ sudden passing,” Fairchild wrote. “It is shocking to lose such a talented young actor. Love and sympathies go out to his friends and family, particularly to his father, John Bennett Perry, with whom I had the pleasure of working on Flamingo Road and Falcon Crest. #MatthewRIP.”
In the ten seasons of “Friends,” from 1994 to 2004, Maggie Wheeler, 62, played Perry’s intermittent lover Janice Hosenstein. She honoured the TV pair on Instagram with a photo of them together. So much lost. Mathew Perry, the world will miss you,” wrote Wheeler. “The happiness you provided to so many people throughout your much too brief life will endure. Every creative time we had together seems like such a blessing. ❥️.”
